GAO : Le chef du mouvement Ganda Koy échappe à un assassinat
Female members of Mali's Ganda Koy militia, at a training base in Sevare, one of the last major towns under government control along the road to Timbuktu. The militias, drawn mostly on ethnic lines, want to battle Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQMI), the Movement for Jihad and Unity in West Africa (MUJAO) and Ansar Dine (Defenders of the Faith), which have seized control of an area the size of France.
Le chef du mouvement d’auto-défense «Ganda Koy», Ayouba Missilim, a été la cible d’une attaque d’hommes armés non identifiés dans la nuit du samedi 28 au dimanche 29 mai 2022. Les assaillants ont ouvert le feu sur l’homme devant le bar «Escale» situé en plein cœur de la ville de Gao. Blessé, il a été aussitôt admis à l’hôpital pour recevoir des soins adéquats.
